birdbrain // mente de pollo

Original Creation by Lillian White and Ricardo Delgado

Description:

An artist that grew up on a chicken farm reflects on her personal memories of this animal and the parallels between human beings and this being who has lived by their side for centuries. In asking “What is a birdbrain?,” she discovers both a series of family histories and world histories of the chicken that illuminate her own journey from the country to the city. Through physical theatre, visual narration, and object play, this play tackles themes of migration, cultural encounters and social relations with the earth.

Can be performed in Spanish or English. Duration: 50 mins.
