Selene and the Dreameater
a modern fairy tale for all ages
co-created by Erin Amlicke (Writer) + Lillian White (Director)
Description
Selene and her little brother live in a sleepless town filled with endless routine. Then, one night, a dream-eating giant appears at their window and makes a strange request. From there, an unlikely friendship begins, changing their lives forever.
An original, site-specific production that celebrates visual and physical storytelling along the exterior of Burning Coal Theatre. Through puppetry, original composition, and movement, a fable for contemporary times explores the transformative potential of imagination and chosen family.
This 55-minute production was designed as a “drive in parking lot play” — audience members were viewed the play from their cars and listened to real-time performance via their car radios.
